Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) is an emerging field that emphasizes the integration of environmental management practices within Human Resource Management (HRM) functions to enhance organizational sustainability. This review synthesizes existing literature to explore the breadth of GHRM practices across various HRM functions. The findings reveal that while significant research has been conducted on functions such as recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and reward management, there remains considerable potential for HRM to further contribute to organizational environmental performance. By categorizing the literature using frameworks like the Ability–Motivation–Opportunity (AMO) theory, this paper highlights gaps in understanding the influence of GHRM practices on employee motivation and outlines future research directions. The review also suggests actionable strategies for integrating green policies into HR functions to achieve long-term sustainability goals.
