• Abstract

The development of residential areas is greatly influenced by the presence of green spaces like parks, gardens, and leisure places, which also considerably improve community health and quality of life. Incorporating green spaces into residential infrastructure has several advantages, and this article discusses those advantages and emphasizes how crucial they are to improving community wellbeing.  For this investigation, a mixed-methods strategy was used to offer standards for integrating green spaces into residential areas at the stage of planning.  To compile the body of knowledge and research on the value of green spaces in residential areas and their effects on a community's well-being, a thorough literature review was done. Primary data was also gathered by distributing structured surveys to citizens of various Yerevan residential neighborhoods. The study's findings show how important green spaces are for improving community well-being and quality of life in Yerevan's residential neighborhoods. The examination of survey data showed beneficial correlations between residents' social contacts, mental health, and physical health when there are green spaces present. The outcomes also emphasize how critical it is to manage and maintain green spaces properly in order to preserve their long-term benefits.  The study comes to the conclusion that green spaces in Yerevan's residential districts greatly improve community well-being and quality of life, and using standard of integrating of green spaces are justifiably beneficial. In order to optimize the advantages of green areas, the study underlines the significance of ongoing investment in their creation and upkeep.
